Social Media Manager

We are seeking a highly creative and results-driven Social Media Manager to lead our digital outreach and engagement strategy. The ideal candidate has experience working on political campaigns, understands how to scale audiences through content and advertising, and is an expert in platform-specific engagement strategies. They must be excellent at creating online advertising accounts across all major social media platforms and fully understand how to verify social media accounts for authenticity and trust. Our company operates in a multi-billion dollar global industry and is planning to expand worldwide. We are building a platform that has the potential to positively influence world governments through technology, outreach, and innovation. This is a hybrid position, preferably for someone based in Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., or West Virginia. We’re looking for someone with a proven track record of delivering real growth in followers and engagement, a passion for connecting with communities, and the organizational skills to manage a consistent, high-impact presence across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

- Create and post daily stories, reels, and static content across Instagram, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter)

- Develop and execute short- and long-term strategies to grow accounts to 100K+ followers

- Design and run online ads and sweepstakes to drive follower count and engagement

- Follow, engage, and build relationships with current and potential followers without triggering platform restrictions

- Monitor and report on engagement analytics across platforms

- Provide unique, creative content ideas with proven effectiveness

- Manage and send mass promotional emails using Mailchimp or Bravo

- Engage thoughtfully with reporters, influencers, and key stakeholders

- Maintain a consistent brand voice and stay up-to-date on platform rules and best practices

- Ensure campaign messaging aligns with political strategy and audience interests

Requirements

- Proven experience managing social media for political campaigns

- Experience with global content creation, email marketing, and online ads

- Proficiency with Mailchimp, Bravo, or similar email tools

- Deep understanding of Instagram, Facebook, and X, rules and engagement tactics

- Strong grasp of social media algorithms, follower growth tactics, and engagement strategies

- Ability to deliver measurable results in follower and engagement growth

- Highly organized, punctual, and honest

- Based in the U.S., preferably MD, VA, DC, or WV

- Must be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
