Job description

Republican Jobs is leading the search for an Executive Assistant in a fast-paced political consulting firm based in Alexandria, VA, seeking a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant / Company Administrator to provide high-level support to  senior partners and help manage the day-to-day operations of our firm. This is a full-time, in-person role ideal for someone with excellent judgment, impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Executive Support:

  • Provide daily administrative and scheduling support to two senior partners, including managing calendars, coordinating meetings, and booking travel.
  • Anticipate the partners’ needs and ensure they are fully briefed and prepared for all engagements, calls, and events.
  • Draft and manage correspondence, handle confidential documents, and serve as a gatekeeper for internal and external communications.

Office & Operations Management:

  • Oversee basic office operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of facilities, supply management, vendor coordination, and building services.
  • Serve as the point of contact for the landlord, IT, and other service providers.
  • Maintain an organized and professional office environment and troubleshoot operational issues as they arise.

Event & Meeting Coordination:

  • Plan and execute internal team meetings, client-facing events, and firm marketing functions, including hospitality arrangements, logistics, and guest communications.
  • Coordinate meeting agendas, materials, and follow-up actions across teams.

Contract & Financial Administration:

  • Manage contract execution workflows and maintain organized contract and vendor files.
  • Work closely with the accounting department to support expense reporting, budget tracking, and other financial documentation.

HR & Staff Support:

  • Oversee the firm’s intern program, including recruitment, onboarding, and day-to-day coordination.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes for new employees, ensuring a smooth and professional experience.
  • Act as a liaison between our Alexandria office and remote HR and accounting teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of professional administrative experience; executive-level support experience is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing tasks with accuracy and timeliness.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Excel, and Word; basic PowerPoint knowledge required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional demeanor and a client-service mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, solve problems quickly, and remain composed under pressure.
  • Familiarity with a political, legal, or consulting environment is a plus, but not required.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $80,000–$85,000 annually, depending on experience.
