Dear recruitment manager, From the moment I helped advance America First foreign policy at the U.S. Embassy in Berlin from 2019, I have been fully convinced in the importance of re-shaping America’s landscape of policy research. Policies that uphold American interests first, individual liberties, free market principles and conservative values are key to securing a bold and bright future for the nation. With these convictions I have transitioned out of the U.S. State Department and I am pursuing work in policy analysis positions within the conservative movement. We are facing a unique opportunity in history to shape a strong policy platform that champions foundational American values, God-given liberties and prosperity for the American people. For too long, the ivory towers of the left have wielded “expert opinion” to advocate for moral decline and increasing government control. However, I believe policy renewal in America is within reach. A policy platform that serves the people, upholds basic freedoms, protects life and promotes virtue, will ensure a free and prosperous America. I would look forward to combining high-quality policy research with practical, actionable recommendations to catalyze the right policies. Research that translates into effective public messaging is key, and I would anticipate working with communications teams to present a hopeful, visionary agenda in this regard. As a proactive leader with a high value for detail, I would also welcome the opportunity to help plan and manage research projects, as well as providing input to other teams where requested and inviting like contributions to my own work. Through dynamic collaboration, I look forward to contributing to your reputation as a preeminent, high-quality team. For the past seven years, my career and education has revolved around foreign policy, as a former public affairs advisor in the U.S. State Department with a masters degree from the Hertie School of Governance. I am an Australian national, and having helped advance Trump Administration policy priorities in Europe (I was hired directly by the former U.S. Ambassador to Germany), as well as living in California over the last two years to complete a certificate in Christian ministry, I have demonstrated a strong commitment to conservative values. I would look forward to bringing my skills and experiences to your team to: - Produce high-quality policy research that advances conservative policies. - Offer actionable policy recommendations that align with your mission and purpose. - Communicate complex policy topics in written and verbal form with clarity and elegance. - Engage in healthy and energetic teamwork with an attitude of a servant leader. - Grow in responsibility due to a high value for excellence, reliability and timeliness. Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to contributing to the success of your mission to advance a free and prosperous America.
