Greetings: I hope that you are doing well. I am writing you to obtain a position with your organization. I have a strong work ethic, dedication, ability to learn, analytical skills and drive to succeed. I have the integrity, service mindset, and teamwork which will be an asset to your company. Throughout my career, I’ve developed strong relationship with leaders of business community, civic organizations, and elected officials at the local, state, and federal levels. In my role as Special Assistant and External Relations in the office of Secretary of State, I advanced Secretary’s signature issues of voter photo ID and election reform legislation building coalition supporters including individual Chambers of Commerce, AARP, AMAC, etc. I reached out to civic organizations for speaking opportunities including Rotary Clubs, Kiwanis, Chambers of Commerce, etc. While at the Kentucky Association of REALTOR®, I worked in partnership with external lobbyists, and organizational leaders to advance their legislative agenda in Frankfort promoting home ownership and private property rights. I organized three rallies in the rotunda empowering 200 members from across the state to meet with their elected officials discussing important issues to the real estate industry. Additionally, I organized our annual Legislative event with our federal delegation during annual Legislative Meetings in Washington DC. While at the National MS Society, I organized two Advocacy Days in Frankfort with activists meeting with elected officials sharing their journey with multiple sclerosis. Also, I organized meetings with our federal delegation during the Public Policy Conference in Washington DC. Also, I manged the local chapter’s Financial Assistance Service program which provided funds to assist with their rent, mortgage, utilities, durable medical equipment, transportation, etc. As Campaign Manager for Secretary of State Michael Adams, I traveled to 108 counties making over 465 public appearances, won a 4-way Primary with 42%, and General Election against well known opponent with 52%. I frequently spoke on behalf of candidate to County Republican meetings and events. As Transition Team Director, I organized the members of the team to review over 100 resumes, scheduled 40 interviews, for 7 positions, and handled official scheduling. Previously, as Regional Field Director for the Republican Party of Kentucky, I frequently spoke to Republican Party committees and clubs, developed relationships with county officials to help grow and strengthen their organization and recruit volunteers in support of all Republican candidates on the 2014 ballot for my 8 county region in the Louisville area. I managed 16 interns and dozens of volunteers knocking on doors reaching over 22,000 contacts in the Primary Election and over 116,000 contacts in the General Election. I leveraged my relationships with county officials and stakeholders for several coalitions including Women for Mitch, Sportsman for Mitch, and Veterans for Mitch. As Legislative Assistant at the Transportation Cabinet, I tracked legislation regarding highways, airports, drivers licensing, etc. Also served as the cabinet’s Small Business Ombudsman to help elected officials, small business owners, and constituents solve their problems and address concerns ranging from driver’s licensing, motor carriers, highway projects, billboards, etc. Additionally, I served as Kentucky Employee Charitable Campaign coordinator to help raise funds for with planning, implementing, and encouraging charitable giving to employees and being recognized as top 5 Agency donations. Outside of work, I enjoy serving on the Board of Directors of Dreams With Wings, an organization that serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I served as Chair of the Capital Campaign committee raising funds to purchase a building to further expand and grow our services. I use my relationships with elected officials and community leaders to promote our community and fundraising events.
