Specialization
My background in nonprofits, public relations, and a local newsroom, have all prepared me with multi-tasking skills, written, and communication skills within a fast-paced work environment.
Skills
As the Development Director, I was hired to raise awareness of their transition to a nonprofit, so I had to come up with marketing campaigns, and plan community events, in addition to other tasks and projects.
I am expecting to graduate this December from Drexel University (remotely) with a Master of Science degree in Entrepreneurship & Innovations. This opportunity has provided me with additional knowledge as to how businesses work as a whole, including knowledge relating to start-ups. Creating pitch decks, forming business plans, and reading about real businesses that succeeded and failed, has helped me understand what works and what does not, from a marketing and public relations point of view.
Anything else?
Working at a nonprofit newsroom, was extremely uncomfortable as the only conservative in the office. The hatred and division I saw relating to politics was sad and unprofessional. The longer I stayed, the more I realized that was not the right place for me.
Willing to Relocate?
Not at the moment.
