Senior Coordinator, Federation Relations and Grassroots Advocacy

Job description

Federation Relations and Grassroots Advocacy directs the Chamber’s public-facing grassroots advocacy efforts and manages memberships and relationships with federation members. The Chamber’s federation consists of thousands of member organizations, including state, metro, and local chambers of commerce as well hundreds of trade and professional associations.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the vice president and managing director with internal and external scheduling requests, travel arrangements, note taking, calendar management, and briefing composition.
  • Track member event requests and assist with implementation.
  • Oversee the drafting and executing of all contracts for consideration, work with vendors, and manage the internal approval process.  
  • Assist with the department budget through invoice processing and financial planning.
  • Support the department’s HR functions, including hiring, onboarding, and recruiting.
  • Interface and build relationships with staff and external stakeholders as a representative of the department.
  • Serve as a point of contact for other administrative divisions within the organization.
  • Manage special projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of administrative experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Sound judgment and the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization and time management.
  • Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience a plus.
