About Cold Spark

Cold Spark is a twelve-year-old agency headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA. We've grown from a two-person shop to a 35-person firm. We've done work in over 30+ states all across the country. Our clients vary from political campaigns to large non-profits to small businesses. We help our clients tell their story to the people they need to communicate with to achieve their goals.

Project Manager Responsibilities

The Project Manager serves as a liaison among client services, creative, art, copy, digital, production, and clients. You play a central role in the business, assuring smooth work flow by producing schedules, establishing priorities, and following up with each team member through all phases of a project. Most importantly, you ensure each project is completed on time and within budget. ClickUp is used to schedule and allocate time to staff for projects and as Project Manager will be the way you monitor a project.

Client Management Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Political Strategy Department in scheduling and planning all copy, design, and production work through the agency.
  • Monitoring all jobs to ensure they are to brief, time, budget, and delivered to the highest standard.
  • Taking ownership of designated projects, coordinating from brief to execution, and liaising between all internal and external teams.
  • Escalating any change in the scope of work and problems to the appropriate staff member.
  • Working closely with all internal teams to oversee workflow through the whole project lifecycle.
  • Managing multiple project schedules, handling external quotes, and reporting/escalating any significant budget problems/scope creep.
  • Establishing objectives, priorities, and organizing a practical work schedule for the Political Strategy Department.
  • Ensuring effectiveness by following through on each job at each stage of completion.
  • Communicating changes to the scope of work to the Political Strategy Department.
  • Reviewing/improving processes to ensure the highest standards are achieved.
  • Clearly communicating the project status and details of the work when needed internally or externally to clients.
  • Ensuring clients receive a very high level of service.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a communications agency or political campaign.
  • Knowledge, interest, or understanding of developing print & digital projects.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Creative but organized mindset and excellent multitasking abilities.
  • Upbeat and positive attitude.
  • Attend required trainings to develop skills/knowledge.
  • Input into the support and development of less experienced team members.
