Job description

The Political Director will report to the Chairman and Executive Director and will work with local committees and candidates to implement a grassroots political strategy. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced environment and has the ability to effectively balance multiple projects at once. The position requires someone with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with people from a variety of different backgrounds. Prior experience on Republican political campaigns in highly desired and must be willing to work after-hours and weekends as necessary throughout the election cycle. The start date will be early July.  This is an entry level position. Compensation will commensurate with experience and will fall within the range of $40,000 - $45,000 annually.

Duties:

  • Recruit and develop candidates for local offices.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with Republican leaders.
  • Working with local committees to mobilize campaign volunteers for tasks such as phone banking, door knocking and other voter contact efforts.
  • Identify and build coalitions of like-minded voters.
  • Coordinate political efforts between RCAC and campaigns.
  • Develop and execute GOTV strategies.
